Queens college came to play in the mountains and showed why they are the top triathlon team in the country. Coached by Sonni Dyer he said this about the race “ phenomenal course with a great atmosphere and for an even better calls. We loved coming up to compete in the off-road TRI. Queens Tri Thanks you Doug and friends.”
A fun day of family fun as the Molnar family took home three first place and one second place medals.
2022 is just around the corner so time to start getting ready for the second Wildcat Challenge.
August 20 and 21, 2022 we will do a two day event with the tri on Saturday and an assortment of other events on Sunday, still to be determined.
Collegiate division will be added with a team competition to earn funds for your schools club.
High school team competition for a trophy as the top High School triathlon team.
Family trophy as the top family finishers.
The course will be open on Friday August 27 for pre ride. Please be respectful much of this course is on private land. Red arrows are the 5 mile loop. white arrows are the 3 mile loop.
I will accept last minute registrations at the lake on Friday night August 27. Just come by between 6:30 and 9:00 PM to Holston Camp.

600 meter swim, 16 km mountain bike ride, 6 km run.
In past years there have been multiple triathlons utilizing Wildcat lake. This will be the first ever off road Triathlon at Wildcat Lake.
An exhilarating swim in a cold mountain lake. Trails for cycling and running that are part of the collegiate National Championship course right on the Lees-McRae College Campus. Entire course above 3700 feet in elevation in the North Carolina Mountains

wonderful 5 mile loop with lots of climbing and descending and passing zones. includes trails on the Holston Presbyterian Camp, Grandfather Homes and Lees-McRae College
really fun 3.2 mile loop that includes some fun grassy sections and as well as some climbing(200 feet of climbing)
